Done!

Ken took his very last exam of his seminary career yesterday!

He is completely done with four years of classes!  I am so proud of his hard work.  Attending seminary is a pretty brain intensive job - but doing it while holding down an engineering job - another brain intensive job, AND raising five kids is pretty impressive.  On top of that, he pulled it off without going into any financial debt.  He is one talented and amazing guy, if you ask me!

After he got home from taking his last final, I wanted to do something fun, and something we've never done before - to get him out of the house and make the day extraordinary instead of ordinary.  Since he is a red velvet cupcake fan, we looked up cupcake shops in our fair city, and found a cute little shop on a fun street with lots of ritzy restaurants and stores.  The sun came out after several days of thunderstorms, and we ate fancy schmancy cupcakes with the girls and Jackson, and then strolled the avenue in the sunshine.  A great way to decompress after several days of late nights and early mornings studying!

And for dinner we decided to go ahead and splurge some more, and take the family out to a Mexican Restaurant that we heard had $1 tacos on Monday night.  We ordered 30 tacos and had a splendid evening chowing down on tacos and listening to live music!

My hero!

Next stop:  GRADUATION!
