Backwoods Indiana

We spent a long weekend off the grid at the end of this dirt road in Indiana,

thanks to some great friends who invited us to join them at their cabin.

Both our families have five kids, so everyone's got a buddy 

when we get together -

My favorite part of the trip was creeking.  

We grabbed some buckets & bug spray (lots of chiggers, ticks, and mosquitos!),

and headed up the creek looking for crawdads, tadpoles, and other wild life.

Besides getting to hang out for three days with

our super awesome friends that we met at seminary -

(they graduated three years ago)

there were some great amenities to enjoy.

A pond

An ATV

A hot tub

A fire pit

And a great porch for relaxing!

Not to mention 40 acres for playing airsoft!

The kids were awfully sad to say goodbye to some

of their best friends when we had to head home.

I can tell you that one of the best blessings of seminary has 

been the amazing friends we've made!

We are so grateful to God for giving us many friends who 

will be sources of encouragement and help as we head into ministry!
