Today the kids and I worked on a Gingerbread House to enter into a contest in our town. It was super fun, super festive, and super time consuming. It took us three hours! We blame the icing dispenser. But we felt proud of our accomplishment.
We started with a kit.
Then we added some of our own candy.
Then we added hot chocolate to the scene.
(The mom reasoned that drinking hot chocolate
while decorating the gingerbread house would
discourage eating of the candy. Mostly worked : )
When we dropped our house off tonight, we got a little
peek at what we are up against in this contest...
