College Prep

Malachi has been spending three hours every Saturday morning studying for the ACT.  He is in a 10 week class, preparing for the real deal this April.  We could never afford to pay for a class like this - some of my friends spent $50/hr paying for ACT tutoring.  But once again, God provided.  A man from our church, out of the kindness of his heart, is teaching the ACT course to about 30 public, private, and home schooled kids. They meet at one of the local universities where he is a professor, and they just have a few more weeks left.  Malachi has learned a lot, and his test scores are improving as they take a practice ACT test every other week.  It's a lot of work, and I'm amazed that all these kids are taking this so seriously.  The prof's wife told me that he is loving this group of kids, and they all show up, voluntarily, EVERY SINGLE WEEK!  Way to go, kids!

Malachi gets college brochures in the mail almost daily now, and it is a reminder that our little boy is growing up, and is just about to launch into his adulthood.  How fast time flies!  I'd be a dropping tears into my cup of coffee right now, save for the fact that I have lots of other little people in this house to hold and hug and kiss and cuddle!
