Dissertations on the Genuineness of the Pentateuch

Ken's evening reading material

Still working on that thesis.
Still need your prayers!!!
Gotta get it DONE!

Ken's thesis is centered on the Hebrew word "ger" (sojourner) in Deuteronomy 10:18-19.

Deuteronomy 10:18-19 (NKJV)
18 He administers justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and clothing. 19 Therefore love the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Ken picked this topic so that He could learn about God's heart toward's the sojourner, in order to personally apply what he learns to future ministry with the immigrant community in the U.S.  When you write a thesis, you have to spend a significant amount of time reading and researching your topic.  He has been working on his thesis for nine months, sometimes steadily, sometimes sporadically when the household has had super busy seasons and needed more of his attention.  :)  During January, he got stuck wading through what to do with the Documentary Hypothesis, which has been written about and analyzed extensively.  "Scope creep" as he called it, enveloped his thesis for a while.

Good news:  He came home Saturday night after putting in about four hours and said it went "really well."  He is starting to really get into a good groove again, making headway.  Yay!  Please remember him in your prayers!!!!  Thank you!!!!
